臺灣智慧城市投資通訊 第一期─Why臺灣

臺灣隨著人口結構改變、人口高度集中都市產生諸多社會問題，因此政府積極發展智慧城市，期望透過科技導入解決社會問題。臺灣的ICT產業一向為經濟成長的重要動能，在智慧城市發展過程中，亦期望國內ICT業者能夠利基於過去累積的製造優勢，思考如何轉型發展加值服務以提供智慧城市所需。

本期舉光寶科技和微程式資訊為臺灣智慧城市發展案例：

光寶科技在既有的核心光電元件製造實力外，近年積極拓展智慧應用服務，並以智慧路燈結合AI，提供城市全新智慧解決方案。

微程式資訊以與巨大機械合作的Youbike共享單車最為人所知，提供全臺7個縣市共享單車服務，為國內市占率最高。

Smart City Business, Opportunities in Taiwan-Why Taiwan

Taiwan is facing several social issues, such as high life expectancy and high urbanization rate, which motivate the government started to develop smart city actively, and expected to solve these issues through technology. The ICT industries in Taiwan plays key role in economic development, therefore, the government also expects that the Taiwanese ICT industry could seize the lead in smart application and value-added services while taking advantage of its hardware manufacture capacity.

In this issue, we will take LITE-ON and Microprogram for examples as the development cases of smart city:

LITE-ON actively expands its smart application service recently while maintaining the manufacturing strength in its core products of optoelectronic. With its LED street light combining with AI, LITE-ON now offers a new smart lighting solution for smart cities.

Microprogram is best known by the partnership with Giant of Youbike. Their bike-sharing system has been implemented in 7 cities in Taiwan, seizing the most market share in the country.
